Rangehood , not decorative , but essential

thanks for reply..........I am also making the existing cabinets into 'tower' units and painting them a kacki /grey colour (see pic) .......the range hood is one of the ideas I am considering.....what else (less expensive !!!) and the lower cabinets are going to be white to match the walls.

This is off topic but the wood cabinets looks to be a great shape and neutral in tones, I would suggest not touching them.

I agree with you Dytecture. Much as I love white kitchens, I love maple kitchens too, and those cabinets look beautiful to me. Personally, I would not paint them. But it sounds like mylittlehome is set on doing a white kitchen makeover.

unfortunately one of the reasons for painting the cabs. is that they have seriousely 'yellowed' and are looking far too much like yukky pine......soooooo hence the painting. back to the corner problem.....come on folks lets get creative !!!!!!!!!!

Also my floors are dark wood !!!!!!!!!!

And again.........the island is on casters so is mobile........it is also scheduled for paint but what colour ???????? I have to get this job finished ...my husband is 'freaking' !!
