Who says bigger is better? This is my downsized downstairs

When we realized that our massive house was just too much, we decided to build a newer version, editing out the spaces we didn't use. I didn't use a designer, so I'm proud of the way all of the pieces hung together at the end of the day.

You should be very proud. This looks like it was done by a designer. I love the corner window

Beautiful space! You should be proud. The only recommendation I would make would be to lower or maybe lean the clock on the mantle. It looks a little high to me. Other than that, I absolutely LOVE it! :-)

Thanks, Charissa! I thought the clock was too high, too! My builder put a nail into the masonry and I was bummed because I thought it was too high, but then I rationalized that II was being too picky. Now I know that my gut was right. I'll figure out how to lean and secure it.

HI --You have done a beautiful job , a very pro job. Can that clock go some where else ? I would rather see a mirror or a painting there . If the clock is staying there , then don't make another hole in the masonary , just rest the clock on the mantel and secure it with a 3M sticky pad or hook for hanging pictures
