Looking for ideas for treatment of sliding doors in living room with cathedral ceiling and Southwest theme.
Client has blue green blinds on the windows which they would prefer to keep. The doors lead to a deck that is shaded in summer by foliage. So sunscreen is not the main concern. Some concern about heat loss in the winter. This house is in Maine.
Kris Reynolds Blue green blinds? Not good at all. Could you consider a contemporary roll up blind, the match stick or bamboo fabric would be a great look and tie in the colors beautifully.
Family Carpet & Draperies Roller shades are good idea generally but if the door is used often it becomes very cumbersome to pull up and down. I would say to use a nice soft drape on a wood traverse rod for ease of use and to soften up place a bit
inSite Contemplative Design I am leaning towards a simple drape as winter warmth is the client's main concern. Keeping the lines clean and simple is ideal.
inSite Contemplative Design The blinds are more turquoise which is a color picked up in some of the artwork in the room. Also a nice compliment to their southwestern collection.
decoenthusiaste Instead of a window quilt, try southwestern Indian blankets hung with ring clips on a rustic rod. They should help the warmth factor, pick up your theme, and maybe even have the turquoise color in them.
