We are interested in replacing our flooring with the tile planks that look like wood. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Rex tile has a series named Abisko that offers different size planks. Really pretty! There are also other wood looks that offer a hand scraped look, such as Rondine Eco Wood.

Wood look tiles are becoming increasingly more popular. They are no maintenance and come in a lot of great looks. They are not as warm underfoot like the real thing but may be more suitable for your lifestyle. If you search previous discussions you will see many homeowners sing their praises. Good luck!

We have installed this type of tile for numerous clients, and we have not had a single complaint! It is becoming increasingly popular because, from a distance, it looks like wood, but it does not have a fraction of the maintenance. Just be sure that your installer lays the tiles very close to one another so that the grout is hardly noticeable.

We use this company all of the time: http://mediterranea-usa.com/usa/american-naturals/ http://mediterranea-usa.com/usa/boardwalk/

They have some fabulous products. Good luck!

Hi Beth,

We just finished a project using Marazzi Tiles Cambridge Oak 9x36 tile, it is the most realistic I've seen to date. Here's a close-up photo of the tile.

Hi, porcelain wood tiles are a great alternative to natural wood. Well recommended because they are scratch, water and stain resistant, and require none of the maintenance of wood. Here's a link to a site selling some great choices of wood porcelain tile - http://tiledaily.com/category/porcelain/wood-porcelain/
