Wall color to compliment orange sofa?

We have an orange ultra suede sofa bed in our playroom/guest room. I would love suggestions for a wall color.

Without seeing the couch color, what comes to my mind first is a warm grayish blue. Depending on where your orange is on the color wheel...

Check out this nifty color selector from Benjamin Moore. You just pick your orange and it will suggest colors that go with it.

Maybe a lime green could be good. As it would be using two block colors which always look good together. (block colors are bright, strong colors!)

Even just plain white walls with colorful accessories would be a good option for a play room.

Grey looks great with orange and gives a fresh modern appeal. Change up your accessorize and you can have a transitional look as well. Attached are some Ralph Lauren paint swatches.

Good luck! Matt

I'm with Dytecture on this one. Take a look at this inspiration room...one of my favorites. The white walls make the orange sofa pop and the colorful art and blue and orange rug are real eye candy.

What do you like is really the question. Brown, beige, green, blue, gray, pink and of course white. See photos for ideas.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am leaning toward the gray family.

Here's a dark grayish brown...this looks like a good manly color to me! :) ditch all the girlie accessories in the room and swap out the pillows! :)

Morgcraw - you must have your answer by now - I love white walls and use orange more than most - but some of these inspiration photos you've been given make me hesitate! Have fun with your new room!
