You could use a taller medicine cabinet and then put some artwork on the wall above the toilet. Something with color.

That is exactly it! The medicine cabinet/mirror is too low. Place it above the black tile (within the white area) to balance the space.

Do you have plans for a shower curtain or door? The tub is so tight next to the sink but goes back and creates a void that also sets things off - maybe put a valance above - simple, clean but keep the actual curtain pulled back on the back side of the tub so that you don't close down the room?... Along with the suggestions regarding the medicine cabinet.

It's missing some finishing / personal touches such as art on the walls, and hand towels, shower curtain if you are using one.

I agree, the cabinet is far too low below the light and blocks view of the nice tilework. The light seems a bit low too.

Also, it looks like you have gray and black tiles, white walls and a light wood vanity. Don't know what the floors are like, but you need to get some of that brown color somewhere else in the bathroom, like in the art above the toilet and maybe the shower curtain or towels or rug, to unify it and bring a bit of warmth.

wouldn't whether the mirror/light is too low or not be dependent on the height of the people who are the users of the bathroom?

I just saw your question and agree with other comments. Medicine cabinet needs to be raised. It should not cover half the tile wall.

My thought is the mirror should be a little lower to the sink... but yet I feel the light is up to high. I think the mirror should be lowerd as well as the lights. Lights on the sides are helpful too... but not sure if you have room for that.
