Like the fireplace mantle, is it custom made or premade.

Is it possible to get specs. for the fireplace mantle. The header below the shelf looks like it sits about 1/2 inch further out than the columns. How is this done?

It was custom made by the cabinet maker, Knotty Hole Woodworks. The mantel legs can act as newell posts as well.
