"Does bedroom furniture have to match bathroom vanity??"
November 9, 2012 in Design Dilemma
I'm in the process of renovating my ensuite bathroom. In the my bedroom, I have a vintage 1957 bedroom set which I've inherited from my late parents. The colour, back in it's day, was called "seafoam" green. It's like a greyish-green which I've actually seen coming back today. However, I wasn't about to match that colour for my vanity as I think that it's a colour which won't last. The vanity I bought is espresso, very close to black. Because my vanity area is separate from the rest of the washroom, you can see the vanity from the bedroom. I'm a little stressed about the mismatch and I'm wondering whether everything necessarily has to match. You can see the doorway to the vanity area...the vanity is to the left of that opening. We've widened the opening but we've shortened that area to allow for extension of the shower on the other side. I'd add more, but I think 4 pictures is the limit. The vanity I chose is the double Bridgeport at Studio Bath.com with a beige marble top to match cream colour floor tiles. I hope that's enough information to get some feedback.
