Any suggestions for furniture layout

This is a family/breakfast room directly off the kitchen. It faces the south so gets a lot of direct sunlight. The kitchen is used alot so this will be a busy area. Mom wants this to be multi-purpose room as she has two small girls and wants to keep an eye on them while working in kitchen. The room will also be used for entertaining her girl pals while in the kitchen. Dad would also like a corner area for him
