What color should we paint this house?

In escrow on this house. Want to paint house and front doors. Any colors to complement the brick?

Also want to paint or replace the driveway gate, possibly a wood gate.

Want all the colors to work well together. What would you do? Thanks in advance!

You could paint the brick as well - just saw my neighbor do a very high end job with farrow and ball. House is all dark gray, trim is like colonial white and door is charlottes lock, which is like a rich deep orange - sounds bold but it looks stunning and calm...check out their web site for their exterior idea book stuff...

First thing that I noticed that isn't getting attention is the double front door possibility. I am going to look around and see if I can find a picture that puts emphasis on doors and windows. As for the gate, wrought iron?

Something like this house...door, windows, trim dark with shutters on the bottom floor windows. Trim also painted darker. The color of the house (stucco?) doesn't bother me, it is that you should make windows and doors more dramatic.

I think this medium tone taupe would work well with the brick and the grey roof: Modified Telluride by Candlelight Homes This is a soft green that would work: Craftsman Naperville Exterior Makeover This green looks great with the deep red on the window casements, which you could do: Ingleside Or maybe this dark blue: Countryside Make over

Paint the porch gable and the columns white.

Replace the front doors with a more Craftsman style: Front porch Traditional Entry Silver Lake Bedroom Or more tradititonal ones: Private Residence on the Delaware River

I would frame out all the windows with 1 by 3 or 1 by 4 and paint them white.

Prune the shrubs, especially the one in the corner. I would replace the white fence with a wood one, if you really need it.

Wow. Thanks for all the great tips everyone. Really like these door suggestions. Think that will help a ton.
