The 1960's Pole House
DE atelier Architects
November 21, 2012 in Before & After
Check out the original 1960s Pole House on the coast. We have created a brand new contemporary look while keeping the essence of the original timber poles as a feature. Let me know what you think.

So, I looked at the before, then the after, back to the before, so on and so on. What an incredible transformation. Kudos to you, on a job very well done. I just love the after, the colour choices and materials and would like to see more pictures. The home owners must be ecstatic !!!!

Beautiful. It's great to see you've kept the integrity of the existing house while putting a modern twist on it.

Very cool--is the original roof structure still there, now just hidden by the parapet/fascia?

Yes Studio S, the original roof structure is hidden behind the new parapet. It worked really well and gave the house a completely different look which the owners loved.
