Master Bedroom and Bath make over - "Want to refresh master bedroom and bath with new wall color ,curtains etc. Want to go with a gray color, but having trouble picking something out. Also have been told to go either go one or two shades lighter, for the adjoining bath. Want a nice gray ,all trim is white, just want a grey thats not to dark. Any recommendation for the two colors would be appreciated. Thanks

The first is Sherwin Williams Sea Salt SW 6204. Has a touch of green to the gray. The second is Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray.

Just a couple to get you started. There are tons of light grays.

My furniture is walnut and I painted my bedroom Home Depot Behr Paint French Dove Grey. Was never much of a grey , blue fan. Now it's my favorite room in my house...but if I were you I would a bedding you like in those colors first and then try to match the colors.

Personally, I would pick out the comforter and drapes first and then decide on what wall color to go with.

Hi Wayne. I agree w/Rosalie66 & Carolina Photos - it will be easier to pick out the comforter and drapes first. Then post photos of them here so we can help pick colors from those items. :)

I can see your bed working very well with British Colonial style: proper England meets the tropics. I would take down the window treatments and just have plantation shutters. Add a large palm to the corner (real one!) Update the fan and light fixture. And add either a curvy mirror above bed or an oil painting of the sea.

A medium soft grey with the white trim would give you enough drama w/out any clash. Keep it simple - No patterns, just warm tones. Add prints w/ pillows, throws, etc. The guys appreciate it we dont go too girly when decorating the master bed room. Good luck.
