Ok, you have two posts. I would like to see brown paint on that wall, from a medium brown to dark chocolate brown. It would be very dramatic.

Paint the mirror frames to bring in the tile color.

It is really quite tasteful as it is.

Colour and texture can both be achieved using wall coverings. They are easy to install and maintain, scrubable and there for tolerant to water and moisture. I would Try and bring the blue of the sinks into the space as well, it is a wonderful tone, and can be brought out in the tile as well. Here are some ideas;

Consider replacing the two mirrors with one large one, from top of counter to ceiling, or a bit lower if you want to go with crown molding down the road. Keep frame minimal, but continue color scheme of room. Reduce down to two sconces. This combination will make the room feel bigger, and more relaxing, and the view over the vanity will be less distracting. Also consider, as an option, placing the remaining two sconces within the mirror, a comfortable distance from the edges.

oldbobbi - can't believe you suggested brown!!! This looks like a cave already and I doubt those three fixtures give off much light. Don't think the brown will allow you to see your reflection in the mirror. I've already worked with brown and purple in baths clients have and they just can't figure out what's wrong. Once they triple the lighting or change the color theyrealize the dark paint was eating their reflection.

hi, I am sorry to say this, and please, dont take it the wrong way, this is just my professional opinion. This powder room is a disaster!! nothing matches!! I would get rid of the sconces, they belong in a much larger space and dont match anything in the room. I would paint the cabinets a mid beige to blend it with the counter top. Now, the walls, how about a lite beige?? There is too many colors on the floor and somehow, you need to tone it down, yet keep it lite and neutral. I would completely ignore the glass sinks. If you can do a soft wall glazing, I would give that a try. Otherwise, if you just paint the walls, use a Satin finish to give the walls some shine. Hope it helps you!!

gaylamc,

I love your scones and sinks!
And the candles are a very tasteful touch.

Everyone has different tastes.

Please check out my bathroom

But many criticize my taste.

deco, I've done my bathroom in dark chocolat brown, maybe not the walls but the vanity, etc. It's not difficult to see my refleciton in the mirror and it doesn't darken the room at all. It actually makes for a beautiful and dramatic bathroom.

Aja! your bathroom is HUGE! And beautiful!

This wallpaper does not go with what you have, sorry to say!! Its like making the same mistakes over and over again. It doesnt work with the floor, the counter top, the sconces, it looks more traditional to me. Sometimes, so many different perspectives from different people. can only cause confusion.

Hi gaylamc, I loved the suggestions that you all the people have given you. But I would like to add one more point here. It would be good if you do something for the lights in the bathroom. It looks quite dark. Whatever else I had to say has already been mentioned by all others. Hope you like my suggestion.

Hi Gaylamc. I agree that the sconces are a little large and overscale for the space. I'd use a wallpaper or faux finish - venetian plaster - but well done, with the colours from the floor and counter mixed in and use a smaller scale sconce. I've attached a sample - not perfect but gives you the idea. Good Luck

I think a greyish beige on the walls/paint the mirror frames darker. With the white vanity and lights it would be bright enough. The darker floor and tile would contrast a paler shade on the walls.

The bathroom is not dark the lights are very bright, but I think the sconces are too much for this area. Gaylamc
