Chalet basement flooring

Hi all, just bought Vermont ski house and there was a flood in basement before closing. All flooring has been ripped up and other damage needs repair. Question is, with all the knotty pine walls, what color or design cork flooring will work best for the space? Natural lighting is limited and I believe cork is the way to go for shoeless living on such a cold floor. With all the choices of colors and patterns in cork these days, would love to hear some ideas. APC Cork makes many different types of cork flooring products. I liked their choice of colors and designs. Thanks for the assistance. Rob
P.S. -> All furniture is being donated.

Does a local flooring store offer shop at home service? This would be ideal as they would bring samples of different colours and designs and you could see right there in your room what looks good and what doesn't.

You could install under flooring heat now that the floor is up. There are types for under tile, wood, laminate and now even carpet.

Just ordered a bunch of samples to bring up and see how they look in the basement. Ideally, would love heated floors but just bought place and hoping to get it back to livable order. That might be out of the budget.. Will defiantly check out those options. Thanks!
