Need help with trim color and stain or paint color for wooden accents.

So it turns out that the trim color that I picked for our home does NOT look good at all with the stone and brick color combo. Please help me with color suggestions for the trim. I also need help with the wooden accents on the trim, don't know whether to stain or paint them, and don't know what color. Please help! :) Thanks!

I am thinking something like a darker reddish brown, similar to the dark parts of the brick...

Thanks for your input AggieDesigns & S.Thomas! I wanted a dark trim but thought it wouldn't do but now I can show my husband that it would work ;) And so awesome that you were the first to comment since we live less than 20 minutes from College Station :) About the wooden accents? Paint them. Stain them. or Leave them.

I think paint them to match the trim! :) I picked the name Aggie over Agnese (my Latvian name, I moved to US in 2000) which didn't sound right to me in American (people pronounce it "agniss", and I really hate that) then later I found out Aggies was a team:). I am still open to suggestions of what my name should be.. ;)

Hidee, Ah thank Agnese is a purdy name........just cause folks in Texas can't pronounce it right. They also pronounce oil as all........along with a whole list of other words and I'm a born Texan (Midland ....Gods country west of the hill country where real men still wear hats, open doors for women and say yes sir and yes mamn and would never think of spitting any chew in front of a lady).

Veronica, if you paint the trim to closely match the brick colors, then I would paint the wood accents as well........but, if you want to leave them a sealed in a natural then you might consider painting the frieze a slightly darker color than the stone with the fascia and other trim the color of the brick......

Thank you S. Thomas Kutch! :) I really like your idea about sealing it and painting the trim a much lighter color. We've had so much to consider. We keep going back and forth. Dark or light? Do you think it would look nice to have it stained a dark color almost brown if we go with the light trim? Too many decisions. :)

I also like AggieDesigns's suggestion, perhaps even an expresso color.
