designideas4me I would get rid of the table liner under it and and the plates and use white plates with silver design to match your centerpiece. Its too busy on that table. It holds candles. Do white to match plates. silver and white the whole table.
maureenindk I agree to getting rid of the table liner and the gold things. Dress up the centerpiece and tone down the dishes and place mats. You need some natural elements to tone down the shine of he silver and glass. I often go outside and cut greenery (ivy, evergreen tree branches, etc.) or real tree branches and generously weave them within the candleholder the day of a dinner party (you could even tuck in a little bird or two). Add simple cream candles. Let the focus be on the centerpiece and have the place settings be a simple classy background.
michigammemom The silver branch candleholder has a simple organic look, but your place setting is a little glitzy. If you want to use a runner to protect your glass table, consider a natural material woven runner and set your table with white dishes and white napkins with a sprig of greenery and white candles.
rayba_101 My hose has black and brown tones, tats y I was using black and gold.but does it matter if the table setting matches other stuff in the apt...?
Rio Brewster no the table setting does not have to match the apartment.
The centerpiece clashes with the current placesettings. If you paint it gold or black it would tie in better. But I agree that it seems too big and heavy for the table anyway.
