Dining table: All round but which one?
December 6, 2012 in Design Dilemma
My new flat has an open concept living area. The dining table will be a work space a great majority of the time. The room is grand and I'm using eclectic items. My 4 choices for a dining table: 1) a black table with little girth. Modern. Seats 4, 35" round. 2) Blond wood, handcarved, rustic. Seats 6. 55" round. 3) Original Arts and Crafts 1930's antique. Dark. Seats 4-24. 42" round. Thick beveled glass 40" round. No base at this time. I'm leaning to a comfy wingback for daily use or a country French armchair. Hardwood floors are medium in stain color and walls are vanilla. Cathedral church like-ceiling. Room is approximately 20x20. Seldom entertain on a large scale. Prefer intimate dinners. Unfortunately I'm unable to test them all. I have to get it right the first time. Opinion please:)
