Old stained wainscot.
Without removing the wainscot and replacing new drywalls I thought maybe I could paint it. Suggestions? Two tone walls? Help.
 
TanCalGal Yes it can be painted. Ask at paint store for paint suggestions. I like white on bottom & trim & almost any color on top. This is similar to what you have (the black door is rather interesting, but would be nice white, too):

Natalie Yes it can be painted. With the current floor tone---I suggest going with a soft hue---PICs show wall color: Silver Sage by Restoration Hardware.
