Pretty ironwork. Unfortuntely in the US it wouldn't work. Approximately 4 inches or less is the biggest baluster opening allowed. It prevents a small child from ever getting their head into an opening and getting hurt. It is hard to tell from a picture, but it looks like the dimension would be greater than the 4 inches where the scroll work is furthest from the two metal balusters.

Like I said this is the information for the United States and Canada, I don't know about where you live if they have different building codes. I know you have put in a lot of time and skill into your stairs.

I like it and the spacing problem could be easily changed. Might like it better without the top and bottom scrolls, but then you would need bars set across instead.
