Do you think it's a good idea to install bamboo floors in a Florida home???

Bamboo floors do handle moisture better than some others. However, since you are in Florida you most likely have a slab floor. I'd look for an engineered bamboo that can float, instead of trying to use a solid that glues down (less chance for cupping) Floating floors do have a "hollow" sound when walked on, just a disclaimer.

Thanks!! Will do what you suggest. I'll have to try walking on a floating floor. Does this mean I need to go on a cruise? LOLOL

Save the cruise for after the job is done, since you'll probably be stressed out an need it then!
