Wood siding is the use of wood boards overlapping each other as an exterior 'skin' to your home. It comes in a variety of textures and tree varieties. There also is cedar siding, that is more tolerable to insects, and resistant to warping.

Wood siding has been used for generations to build homes, and today many builders still use it, but vinyl siding often is used instead of wood due to its longevity and minimal amount of care required for upkeep.
