We are updating a small bathroom. The vanity we selected is 36." For the sink - should it be oval or rectangular shaped? Opinions please!

It depends so much on the style of the rest of the room. Both shapes can go with modern as well as traditional styles, but it depends a lot on the other materials being used. If you have photos that always helps.

feeny - Here is a photo of the vanity I selected...with a quartz, charcoal gray countertop...shower will be a walk in with glass doors...chrome fixtures....haven't figured anything else out yet.

I would definitely go with a rectangular sink, it is more modern like the vanity!

I agree. While either oval or rectangular will look good, I think rectangular will look particularly nice with your vanity. Good luck!

Or you could pick a sink that has both straight lines and gentle curves to soften all the hard lines typically found in bathrooms. I think it's always nice to find a balance as opposed to making everything match exactly. Look at the Kohler Escale, for example.

I vote for rectangular as well.

Thank you to all who commented!

To: ModaScapes Interior Design -- I googled Kohler Escale and there were a zillion images - some rectangular, some oval, and some in between -- any chance you can provide an image/photo of what you were referring to ( or product #)?
