What type of materials were used for the cubby's?

I am planning to remodel my laundry room which is 63" wide. I'm planning on a total af three cubbies. What type of material (i.e wood, mdf, etc...) was used to construct the cubby dividers, seperators and shelfs? They look to be painted or veneer.

Hi Gary,
These cubbies and shelves are painted plywood with solid wood edge banding. We use stain-grade plywood when making natural wood cubbies. Hope this helps and good luck with your project! Emily
