How to infuse his space with my style?
December 28, 2012 in Design Dilemma
My boyfriends house is all done in oak and cowboy motif. Iron beds, etc. my style is contemporary urban industrial. We will be moving to his house when we retire. How can I update his old west look?

A little sparkle does a lot to give a room a lift - that and paint. The iron bed can be made over with new bedding. Adding some simple lined pieces, contemporary art and some glass will get you on your way to a contemporary meets wild west aesthetic you can both appreciate. It could totally be a new design style!

Do you have photos you can post?

"Contemporary meets Wild West" -- love it!!

Agree - pics would be great - of both places. How much time is there b/f the move - a little or a lot?

At the end of the day the house has to be comfortable for both of you. Perhaps have a man cave to house all house western style collections and the rest of the house in contemporary style.
