I need some ideas for curtains and accessories in my rear foyer.

IMO what you have is fabulous. I wouldn't add curtains and the most interesting hanging lamp + 2 wall sconces are enough accessories. Gorgeous.

I, too, love your space. It would be wonderful to have an iron railing, but then you'd have to change all the railings in the house. Perhaps you could add a small antique painting at the landing.

Leave the window alone. Sometimes less is more!

Great idea! We had our choice on railings and chose the wooden spindles, kinda wish we had taken the iron...We have soooooo many spindles in the house, it would take millions to change them...haha

I was actually thinking about going kinda big...the style of the light fixtures makes me think of Mediterannean...so what about a tapestry on the big blank wall above the handrail?

Ordinarily I think big on art, but the setting is so perfect that I think it needs to be the center of attention.

If you wanted to dress the window, I'd recommend an unlined custom roman with an arched top to match the shape of the window. I'd make it out of semi-sheer linen so no light would be lost through the treatment. It would be divine :)

I think the window would benefit from a window treatment. Depending on the style in the adjoining rooms, I would envisage long full single panel, pulled to one side, perhaps with a swag sitting over the panel, or a pretty shade inside or outside mounted if you felt the panel was too overpowering.

Yes, Julie, I've done something similar with a long gauzy panel that was edged in a beautiful matching trim that weighted the curtain beautifully as it was drawn back with a tieback. Because there's nothing to hide here, I'd still like to see any treatment be a semi-sheer one.

It looks lovely as is. Perhaps a minimalist sheer roller screen, but no drapes. Would love to see a larger wrought iron chandelier.

Lovely space!
