Jayme Hobbs What colors do u like? You can get some pillows for the bed with silver, black, lots of different colors depending on what u like. Colorful pics or posters help...rugs, etc
Cancork Floor Inc. A 3rd colour is just the thing. The "in" colours are purple (you have that one), green (lighter - more like spring grass) and blue (robin's egg blue!!!). White goes with everything so we don't really "count" that one.
An easy rule to keep in mind is: "You need at least 2 things (3 is best) in the same colour to make it a theme".
If your purple is more like red grape juice (blue black/red) the I would head towards the robin's egg blue. If you have a lighter purple (like lavender or something you would find in "Barbie's House") then I would go with the 'fresh green".
By adding some fun pillows with a lamp in the "fun" colour (there are the 2 items you need) you can create a cool space for less than $50! Check out some ideas on the Ikea website. Or google "green bedding" (or which ever colours you are looking for).
Sometimes "making" a project - like finding an old mirror and painting the frame the colour you want, can save a lot of money, get you involved and make you feel like you have contributed to your style! And it gives you a chance to go out, look at things to help you find the style that "speaks" to you!
Good luck and have FUN! That's what design is all about!
