Fireplace: Insert? Gas or Wood? Manufacturer?

I like the clean lines of the fireplace (black steel and glass). I have almost the same surround (1950's, white painted brick) but open wood burning. I would like to retain the look, but update to a high efficiency wood burning insert or similar. Is that a gas or wood unit? Is it an insert? Custom sized? If so, what manufacturer, etc.. Thank you!

Mike and Jean,

We ended up just using the existing firebox (painted brick) and installing Portland Willamette doors with a realfyre gas burner, with Star Fyre glass and a remote ignition.

Thank you,
