that's not laminate. its wood veneer. although technically its veneer laminated to a substrate. Either way, the wood is Figured Red Gum and I believe these are quarter sawn. We hand selected these particular veneer flitches and they are somewhat unusual. I also designed a kitchen with the same wood but used the veneer on the horizontal. Its a small kitchen but one of my favorites. Check out the pics attached.

It’s a natural wood veneer called as Satin Walnut, in the Middle East.
