The ebony colored framing w the cabinet is spectacular! Is the frame actually attached to the mirror?

From the photo, it looks like a mirror is extending out away from a wall covering instead of mirror that is in a frame. Is the mirror mounted on or protruding out from the frame itself? Or is it framed normally & just appears to be elevated? And does the frame span from wall to wall?
