Help for our living / family room!
We just moved to this house and I am having a hard time arranging (open to new furniture suggestions) this room! This is our only living/family room. The biggest problems are the room is right off the entryway so there is an open door and it is a pass through to the dining room (another open "doorway". The only real wall is windows! Help!
lhutch13 I think you have too much furniture in too small of a space. Lose those 2 side chairs that block the flow to the dining room.

collettec If you have the space, one option for furniture would be a sectional that you could place against the windowed wall with the other part of the sectional facing the fireplace. That would leave the passage into the other part of the house clear. For extra seating you could get an ottoman that could be used as seating. A sofa table for behind the part of the sectional facing the fireplace could be used as more of a visual divider for the entrance as well.
