Master bedroom, bead board below chair rail, panel trim around windows and doors. We have a black king bed with black and ivory toile bed skirt and shams. Floors are natural stain hardwoods. There is a single beam in vaulted ceiling. I have looked at a bazillions colors, does anyone out there have any suggestions. Please?

I love a white bead board with most paints! It really helps the bead board stand out...

I like the sophisticated combination of black and tan. Take a look at this attractive room.

From the perspective of this photo, it seems you don't have a lot of wall space, comparatively. It is mostly trim and panel molding. And the vaulted ceiling can dominate the walls. So, my suggestion is a light neutral in matte finish for both ceiling and walls. It will be a more serene space. For your ivory and black toile, I like BM HC-36 Hepplewhite ivory if your fabric has more yellow undertones in the ivory and BM HC-32 if the ivory fabric is a bit more neutral.

I would suggest a warm grey above with white beadboard below. What a nice sized room!

Also, doing the ceiling the same color as the walls will nicely accent your beam. I would do the beam, panels and trim BM white dove.

I like the dove white trim and then blue is fine if thats your color choice it would be mine, but the basic color choice would be the one you feelrelaxed in as it is your bedroom something that suggests rest for you. Everyone being different, it would come down to that choice I think.

Will you be putting a rug in the room?

Hi---white or soft gray for the beadboard/trim, and the upper wall painted 1 shade darker than the ivory hue of your bedding or covered with a tone on tone wallpaper. Pic for inspiration-colors and wallpaper, etc. Your room is lovely-Good Luck!

Only throw rugs so I can roll up and send off to be cleaned and I can mop and clean while rug is away to keep allergies in check. Sometimes full rugs dont offer the clean feel you can get from my decided approach. Funny but thats how I think anyway, best to have it the way I am comfortable with.

a warm gray and white trim. The Benjamin Moore 'White Dove' is a soft creamy white. We used it all over the house and love it.

Thank you everyone. These are our final picks
All trim including bead board is SW Dover White
Above bead board is SW Agreeable Gray
Ceiling except beam is SW Incredible White
Big cased openings into closet area and bath have panels which will be the Dover White and SW Anew Gray

The master bath has a Calcutta Marble "looking" porcelain tile (couldn't afford the real thing). Those walls will be SW Incredible White

I hope we made the right decisions. I promise to post pictures later today. Everyone has been so incredibly helpful.

Love michigammemom's suggestion. Love the beige, white black combo. So classy and crisp and the light beige makes it calm.
