Need opinion for bedroom
Planning on getting a "make up vanity" for my bedroom. But I don't know what color, distresssed antique white to match plantation bedroom furniture or maybe an antique cherry? Help...

feeny I think a vintage style something like this would be charming with your white furniture:

LM Designers Either will work it is more personal preference. Where are you getting the vanity from? If it is an antique the wood should be pretty and not painted.

decoenthusiaste Looks like the round bedside table on the left is wood finish. You could use some more of that to counter balance the big bed and large side table. Look for a real antique vanity.

marvymare Planning for it to go on this wall, to the right of the coat tree.

Natalie Hi---are you going to actually utilize the makeup vanity or is it that you are trying to figure out what to use in this area to fill the void? Beautiful room!

marvymare No, not just for show, I love a vanity! I have one in my other house I use all the time. I'm planning to use this one also. I actually liked a writing desk also but the bad thing is I don't want it always to look sloppy.

Natalie LOL! Just had to ask... Personally, I think you need something tall here, and serve as both a desk and makeup area---A Secretary---paired with an upholstered chair in a coordinating toile fabric, would look lovely. Perhaps have the glass fronts switched out to mirrors---that's what I think would be ideal. :)
