what size of vanity to choose
January 11, 2013
I have a small guest WC. that is 3 feet by 6.5 feet in size that I am renovating. What size of vanity would look best? One that fits the entire space so 36 inches or a smaller one?

In such a small room, a wall to wall vanity looks very bulky. I just renovated a same size powder room for a client and we pulled out the vanity and replaced it with a 24" pedestal. It gives the room a spacious feeling for its size. This could also be accomplished by using an open console table with a vessel sink and wall mounted or deck faucet. I'm assuming the entry is in the middle of one long wall.

Yes a pedestal sink works well in a small bathroom - we have one for our 4x4 bathroom and we're always remarking how much space we have.
