How does this backsplash material (tin?) hold up in a humid environment?

I'm not sure...it is installed to be sealed for a wet environment (splashing) but the manufacturer would have to advise on various applications.

I can tell you from personal experience, the tin back splash is very high maintenance. Within 12 months, I had rust on the tiles behind the sink, within 18 months everything was covered in rust. Before I installed, I tried applying a gloss clear coat for protection, but it took all the luster out, so I went with raw tin, big mistake.

One great alternative to real tin backsplash panels are Fasade faux tin panels. These plastic panels look like real tin, but are a fraction of the price and very easy to maintain. They come in a variety of styles and finishes, including white. For a look at what we offer, including installation tips and helpful videos, please visit http://backsplashideas.com/
