Bedroom paint ideas

My master bedroom has skylights which give a lot of light, so I want to go darker with the paint than it is, as I also want to keep the furniture to a minimum. Would it look strange to do all the walls in a dark grey, like Dior Gray, and leave the ceiling and doors white? Should I just do one or two walls in a darker colour, contrasted with a lighter colour on other walls? If I do paint different walls different colours, which wall should be dark and which light - as they are all different shapes?

You could paint the walls a dark grey, which would look good, and paint the ceiling a shade or two lighter. Keeping the trim and doors white would give the room a crisp look. Are you changing your bedding and bed frame?

I think the dark grey with white trim would be beautiful! You may need to lighten up the comforter, tho.

Dark grey can be a great color as long as you feel you get enough natural light in. Not a bedroom but we used a very similar color scheme in this living room with lots of natural light and it turned out great.

I think grey will work but you might want a lighter, silvery, accent wall for the bed and consider black doors if you like a bit more sophistication.

Just skylights, no other windows. No plans to change the bedding (took me so long to find one I liked!) but I do have a light blue blanket I drape over the end, and am also going to get some lighter throw cushions. I like the idea of doing the shorter wall behind the bed a silvery colour - think that would look really nice.

Having only skylights is unusual, is your house buried underground? There is a house like this close to where I live. The front of the house is all windows but the back end is underground.

I'm on the top two floors - the skylights are in the roof of the building.

The room can't technically be considered a bedroom since it doesn't have any windows on the walls for safety reasons. Although, it is a nice large space. A silvery grey paint would look good with your bedding.
