Need help deciding between a corner sink or more centered
I am rebuilding my kitchen after hurricane Sandy. My sink was in the corner before but now most of the kitchen guys that come to my house suggest moving it. I can't figure out the pro's of moving it. I feel that then the corner is just useless.
Any suggestions?

Cynthia Taylor-Luce If you want the sink in the corner, then have the sink in the corner! Maybe they suggest it because it's easier for them?

If you post a floor plan, and maybe before pictures, and also the plans that the kitchen guys suggest, then we could go into more detail with our comments.

houssaon I think it is up to you. You are use to it being there and it worked for you, so why change it? On the other hand, if you had thought of moving it, now would be the time.

onthefence At one point when fiddling with a kitchen layout, I considered a corner range. I was told corner fixtures actually take up more space. Everything I came up with on paper proved them correct.

Depending on what's in the rest of your kitchen, that corner can be made very useful. If the corner sink feels better to you though, that's were it should stay.

Dytecture I have double corner sinks in my kitchen right now, it works well even with 2 people. The only issue is you tend to twist your back a bit when trying to move dirty dishes from the counter to the sink.

Bonnie Ask yourself how the placement of the sink affects the work triangle? Does it make it shorter and more efficient or longer and more spacious? Which scenario best fits your needs? Does the contractor's suggested location offer any benefits? Pictures would help.
