Kitchen Island
January 22, 2013 in Design Dilemma
We want to move the cooktop from the island (granite) to the side. What's my option to "fill up the hole" in the middle on the island? Another piece of granite or replace the whole piece? tile? glass?

Well, now that you have a big hole, you will want to think about how the island needs to function. I'm always slicing, dicing, chopping, etc., so I would use the space for preparation of food stuffs that require a very large (divine) cutting board.

Depends on the granite color, cabinets and floor color. Can you show a picture? I think you'll need to replace the whole piece. Qaurtz, mohogany slab, butcher block...depends.
