should I have a central A.C or split units in special rooms

linaghabbishJanuary 22, 2013
I want to put an A.C system in the house. But I heard that if you turn it on, it will be on for all the house. Is there a system where you can turn it on in specific rooms and keep it off in others. what is the system?

and if not, you cannot control where to turn it on in rooms. is it better to have split units.

Your HVAC contractor can install a zoned system with central air. The main furnace kicks out heating and cooling on demand but servos in the ducting open and shut based on the thermostat installed in the area they supply. Rambling floor plans are best served with this type of eliminates cold or hot zones and maintains comfortable temperatures pretty well.

This is a system that works just like the heat in your house with vents and thermostats in each zone just set the temp for each zone and the system sends cold air or not.
