Kitchen Cieling Help!!!!!!
January 24, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I have had a couple of leaks that have come through the kitchen cieling and I have fixed them but i have not redone the cieling yet. I need help on how to sand the cieling without getting dust everywhere. Any suggestions or tools I could use.

Cover everything with plastic, including the doorways, so the dust doesn't spread to other rooms. After sanding, cover with a coat of KILZ to keep the water stain from seeping through the new paint job. Not much you can do about the dust unfortunately.

Creeser is correct. Plastic off the room from other areas, cover everything in the room with plastic and cut off your HVAC unit while you sand. You can't stop it but you can contain it, somewhat.
