Chaise placement issues

I have a beautiful chaise that we use everyday but its placement makes the room look off. It was expensive so I will not be replacing it anytime soon. How do you set up the living room space without throwing it off with a huge piece that's shape is not squared?

I use a floor plan to try and find a good place for odd shaped furniture (& all furniture) http://www.ehow.com/how_7244848_set-room-layout.html
