I have a pool with about 2' space between the wall and the pool, to plant an hedge. I'm looking for trees that looks like ficus but doesn't have long roots to demage the pool and will not dirty the pool . Does anyone can suggest an green, tall, wide, small root trees? We need privacy and some color.

Carolina Laurel Cherry 'Bright & Tight' or Waxleaf Privet 'Texanum'. How tall do you want them to get?

I agree ficus is notorious.

I like them to pass the wall , around 15 ft.

The waxleafs will be too short then. Go with the carolina laurel.
Brush cherries are also nice, but are slower growing.
