How can I accent my wall?

I have just finished painting my livingroom/diningroom and was going to do a 'picture wall' but then I thought it would be nice to also make it an accent wall. . . some design ideas would be appreciated :)

Have you tried matching the color of your sofa? That might work. If you paint the end wall an accent color you have to make it a focal point by balancing it. I would remove the corner cabinet and center the church pew and table. Then add a new drum chandy and drapery panels.

How about a dark gray, charcoal, on the dining room wall? That bench is cool. I'd move the corner piece somewhere else and center the bench.

I like the idea of a warm color to brighted it up, how about one of those mirrors that look like a sun?
