This hardwood floor is solid Maple, the stain was Mocha. Woodpecker flooring.

can you tell me about the raised bar part of the countertop -- what are the supports and were there any technical difficulties supporting it?

The supports are steel brackets designed by the countertop suppliers and since they professionally installed it there were no difficulties.
