Where do you put the flat screen tv AND fireplace?
is it better to have the flat screen tv over the fireplace? I don't really like that, what are the options if the wall isn't wide enough for them side by sid

kitasei This question comes up again and again. One post contributed the information that you should NOT consider putting a tv above a wood burning fireplace because the heat will damage the tv. So that's only an option for a gas stove.

4jellybeanz I think a flickering fire would be distracting below a TV set and would tend to compete for attention.

olldbobbi If there is a wall opposite the fireplace, can you put the tv there? Then the sofas and chairs can sit perpendicular to both. I have no idea if I spelled that right :))
