We designed the project wanting to use warm neutral colors for the hardscape materials, while providing some accent and variation with the ledge stone veneer and other complimentary colored materials. This fairly neutral color was purposely done to allow the vibrant glass mosaic pool tile colors to 'pop' and provide the grand highlight to the rear yard. Initially, we specified a fantastic veined Sandstone but this alternate material is scratch vein Limestone, The steps are precast concrete, 'Palisades' (#102) from Pacific Stone. The attached image(s) should show you some of the interesting character and detail to the Stone.
Overall we came up with a fun and useful design for the Client that balances both the 'wow' factor, and the serenity of the surroundings.
Our design came to life by working hand in hand with the Client and a nice installation by Urban Landscape and Design.
