Resell home, granite or solid surface, which would you prefer?

We go round and round on this one as the price is nearly the same. Do you see one as better than the other? I'm personally bored with seeing the same old granite, but are home buyers?
Thanks!
White solid surface with granite tile backsplash
Granite, tan/cream/brown/black (Santa Cecelia)
Solid surface, white base with multi color, size specks
I like either, just best match colorwise, neutral

I always like granite. What did you end up going with? Have any pictures to share?

Corian. Very clean and uniform patterns, off-white, such as White Jasmine, Arctic Ice, Rice Paper, Bisque. No busy or crazy patterns or grains (like granite). Eco by Cosentino

Why would you ever go with a plastic over a stone? Unless it's super modern, go with the stone. Stone > Plastic

Hi Slab, because some people don't like stone, which is harder, colder on the touch, with non-uniform grain patterns. Some people prefer something that is more uniform, softer, and warmer on the touch.

Ed, installing plastic countertops at the same cost as stone would be a huge mistake if the main purpose is for resale. If it's for your personal home, to each is their own.

sorry for the delay, but lost track of this thread after ordering! Here are the last two kitchens we did, granite chosen because of look, popularity availability and price.

I think that the age and architecture of the house should determine the choice. Generally solid surface for a more traditional looking style and granite for contemporary but ofourse there are always exceptions.
