Best material to hold heavy clothes

Plywood or solid wood. MDF can work too, but van bow when weighted for too long. Keep spans to no more than 3' and it will be OK.

Wire shelving allows the clothes to breath, and if properly supported they could hold heavier items well and they don't tend to sag like wood / MDF would.
