interior trim

I have a brick ranch circa 1971. All the trim is stained and it makes the house feel dark. Is painted trim or stained better for resale value. We have wood casement windows and my husband doesn't want to paint them but I think if you commit to painting the trim then the casements sould be included. Help ?

I agree with you that not doing all the work looks like you stopped half way. Regarding paint vs. stain for resale...how soon do you expect to put the house on the market? If it is anytime soon, you are better of letting the buyer make the decision...if not, make the decision based on what you love and want to live with.
