"Beachy" type decor everywhere BUT Master bath?

Not lighthouse and starfish beachy, more like earthy textures, jute, coral stone flooring, lots of antiques passed down from my mothers gorgeous home. Real African drums that stand over 6', a real gong from early Bangkok. My moms house was more African inspired than I want ours to be. We have a FL home on the water and we want the backyard living space to be a focus!
My question is, is it entirely tacky to go GLAM in the master bath? White pearl mosaic backsplash, bling in tile around white/grey marble, big crystal chandelier with a black shade, freestanding white tub sitting on black river rock. Black river rock in frameless shower base as well.
Got a mental pic yet? How can I add earthy elements to my girly design??

Thank you!!

I'm not a designer but I say go for it. I think of the master bath as its own little oasis. To me the river rock and pearl backsplash are natural elements.

People never treat themselves enough to personal luxury! They always put it where it's on display in the common areas for their friends and family but always cheap out on themselves. As for an earthy add on?

I like American Clay. It's an organic plaster and works beautifully in tropical climates. It has a soft matte appearance and makes a great backdrop to any glitzy or glam tile, counter top, etc. It also has just a hint of sparkle to it which lends nicely to the rest of the stuff and is right at home in Florida as far as texture and look goes.

Check it out at www.americanclay.com

I am not affiliated with company. Just a fan of product.

Here is a pic of it that we did not too long ago.

I only borrowed my samples and didn't take any pictures so I can't post! I'm sure that would help my case!
