But you shouldnt have a problem either way.i also do alot of cooking with oil. If you have a sufficient hood you will be just fine

A Kitchen That Works LLC If size your exhaust fan properly AND use it properly AND buy quality painted cabinets, you should not have an issue. When I say use the fan properly, I mean you turn it on before you even put the wok on the cooktop/stove top.

feeny Here's the way I look at it (and I've had white kitchens for the last 25 years). If your husband's wok splattered all over wood finish cabinets, wouldn't you want to clean it up, even it it wasn't starkly visible? Well, cleaning white cabinets isn't any harder than cleaning natural wood ones. If things splatter, they should be wiped off, and you can see where things have splattered more easily on the white cabinets. If, OTOH, you don't mind splatters being "out of sight and out of mind," then wood finish is probably better for you. The real difference, IMO, is that painted cabinets (whether white or other colors) are not quite as durable in the long run as wood finish ones. The paint will need touch ups.
